Recap: Polson Pirates vs. Libby Loggers
The Polson Pirates's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They snuck past Libby with a 44-38 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Polson also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Polson found their leader in underclassman Rylee Taylor-jefferson, who scored nine points along with two steals. Taylor-jefferson hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Julia Barnard, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The victory got Polson back to even at 6-6. As for Libby, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Polson will take on Browning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Libby will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Bigfork at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Bigfork will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
