Football Recap: Murtaugh Falls Short Against Ranked Valley + How To Watch

Murtaugh faced Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Red Devils took a 44-30 bruising from the Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 62-34 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Stetson Perkins threw for 134 yards and two TDs. Preston Stanger was his top target, picking up 55 receiving yards. On the ground, Dallin Virgin rushed for 30 yards and one score.

This is the second loss in a row for Murtaugh and nudges their season record down to 1-4. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.0 points over those games. As for Valley, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
