Football Recap: St. Pius X Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

St. Pius X had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Kelly Catholic Bulldogs as they made off with a 34-12 victory. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Noah Carrasco was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 296 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (159.5). Amir Parks-Brooks was another key player, rushing for 68 yards and one score on only five carries.

St. Pius X didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Kelly Catholic to a completion percentage of just 35.7%. The Panthers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 63.3%.

Kelly Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

St. Pius X has already played their next contest, a 20-17 win against Houston Christian on the 12th. As for Kelly Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 48-0 loss against Concordia Lutheran on the 12th.
