Softball Recap: Preston's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kuna, Preston was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Baker Bulldogs by a score of 8-4.

Ellie Keller made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). Keller was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Preston let Ally Smith and Averie Madsen run wild. Smith scored two runs while going 1-for-2, while Madsen went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave Madsen a new career-high.

Preston's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.

Preston has already played their next game, an 8-5 loss against Parma on the 21st. As for Baker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 9-5 victory against Grangeville on the 21st.
