Volleyball Game Preview: Valley Center Jaguars vs. Calvin Christian Crusaders

Valley Center is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Calvin Christian a seven-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Valley Center Jaguars will host the Calvin Christian Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. Valley Center will be strutting in after a win while Calvin Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with ten defeats in a row dating back to last season, Valley Center turned things around against Imperial on Saturday. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Calvin Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to Christian on Tuesday.

While Calvin Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-11.

Valley Center's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Calvin Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Valley Center took their win against Calvin Christian when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Valley Center repeat their success, or does Calvin Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
