Basketball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Page Patriots 64-13. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-5.

Page was led to victory by Jordyn Porter and Mazie Bushman. Porter went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points and four steals, while Bushman made all 5 shots she took for 11 points. The dominant performance also gave Bushman a new career-high in blocks (two). Meredith Warner was another key player, putting up six points.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Page, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will venture away from home to face off against Independence at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Page, they will head out on the road to take on Summit at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Page is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.2 points per game this season.
