Baseball Recap: Santa Ana Valley Takes a Loss

Santa Ana Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Bolsa Grande Matadors, falling 21-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Santa Ana Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Serrano, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Santa Ana Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Bolsa Grande, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Santa Ana Valley Falcons face off against Laguna Hills Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bolsa Grande, they will head out to face off against Saddleback at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Saddleback will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Bolsa Grande surely won't give up without a fight.
