Huntingdon waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They strolled past the Peabody Golden Tide with points to spare, taking the game 40-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Huntingdon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Taylor Jones and Lucas Smith.

Huntingdon's record is now 8-1. As for Peabody, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Huntingdon will take on rival Union City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Peabody is set to challenge their familiar foe Milan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Golden Tide 12.3, the Bulldogs 9.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
