Decatur won the last time they faced Lake Worth, and Javen Colbert did his part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Decatur Eagles' way against the Lake Worth Bullfrogs on Friday as the Decatur Eagles made off with an 84-59 victory thanks in part to Colbert, who went 8 for 17 to rack up 32 points along with seven boards and five steals. His evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points.

Chase Berg was another key player, putting up no points in addition to nine rebounds, six assists, and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

Despite the loss, Lake Worth saw an underclassman step up: freshman Braylen Fridia went 8 of 17 en route to 24 points. Another player making a difference was Ayden Brooks, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards.

Decatur has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.9 points over those games. As for Lake Worth, their defeat was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-19.

Looking ahead, Decatur will welcome Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Decatur is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65 points per game this season. As for Lake Worth, they are taking a road trip to square off against Eagle Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Worth has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
