Softball Recap: Benjamin Davis Takes a Loss

Benjamin Davis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-3 to the Nimitz Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-3 back in March.

Benjamin Davis saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ja'Niyah Guerrero, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Benjamin Davis' defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Nimitz, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Benjamin Davis will face off against rival Westfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Nimitz is set to square off against their familiar foe Eisenhower at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
