Basketball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin lost against Concord Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Franklin Tornadoes received a blow as they fell 64-50 to Concord Christian. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Concord Christian are ranked 16th).

This is the second loss in a row for Franklin and nudges their season record down to 9-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 12-6 Farmington (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 80.4% over those games). As for Concord Christian, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

Looking ahead, Franklin is taking a road trip to take on Moultonborough Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Concord Christian has already played their next matchup (against Farmington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
