Softball Recap: St. Louis Park Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, St. Louis Park finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against the Jefferson Jaguars, falling 13-2. That makes it the first time this season the Orioles have let down their home crowd.

St. Louis Park saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rowan Jansen, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

St. Louis Park's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Jefferson, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Coming up, St. Louis Park will head out to take on New Prague at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Trojans have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Jefferson, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Orono at 6:00 p.m.
