Volleyball Recap: Hershey Panthers vs. Centura Centurions
The Hershey Panthers came up short against the Centura Centurions on Wednesday and fell 3-1.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-11, 22-25, 25-23.
Demi Damoude paced Hershey's offense, picking up 11 kills. Damoude got some help from Kenna Bringewatt and her 17 assists. Damoude was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Centura's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Belle Taukiuvea, who had three aces and one block. Taukiuvea is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. Kennedy Davis was another key player, getting 27 kills and one block.
Hershey has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-12 record this season. As for Centura, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-7.
Hershey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Centura, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Norfolk Catholic on the 1st.
