Baseball Recap: Montague Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Four must be Montague's lucky number: they beat Oakridge with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Wildcats beat the Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Ryver Jarka was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Eli Petersen also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Montague's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Oakridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.
