Basketball Recap: Tussey Mountain Comes Up Short

Tussey Mountain lost against McConnellsburg back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tussey Mountain Titans had to suffer through a 63-16 loss at the hands of the McConnellsburg Spartans.

When it comes to explaining why Tussey Mountain lost, don't look at Keegan Traxler. Despite the final result, he posted four points.

McConnellsburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hoyt Glenn led the charge by going 7 for 12 on his way to 19 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Glenn has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Ramsey, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 20 points in addition to four steals and three blocks.

Tussey Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for McConnellsburg, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Tussey Mountain will face off against Mount Union at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McConnellsburg will take on North Star in a holiday battle at 7:15 p.m. on Monday at. North Star will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something McConnellsburg surely won't give up without a fight.
