Baseball Recap: Lincoln-King Academy Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Summit Academy North, Lincoln-King Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the University Prep Panthers 7-6. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Lincoln-King Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for University Prep, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln-King Academy will square off against Chandler Park Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chandler Park Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.4 runs per game on average), something Lincoln-King Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for University Prep, they will venture away from home to take on Henry Ford Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Navigators have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
