Volleyball Game Preview: Lafayette Lions vs. Sulphur Golden Tors + Official Tickets

Lafayette hasn't had much luck against Sulphur recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Tors at 5:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Lafayette got the win against Acadiana by a conclusive 3-0. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Lafayette's got stronger as the match went on, holding Acadiana to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18, 25-13.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sulphur, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Carencro on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Sulphur took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-15, 25-9.

Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Sulphur, their victory bumped their record up to 13-24.
