Basketball Game Preview: Lonoke Jackrabbits vs. Forrest City Mustangs

Lonoke has won three straight games at home, while Forrest City has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Lonoke Jackrabbits will welcome the Forrest City Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lonoke is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since December 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Stuttgart, falling 78-54. While losing is never fun, the Jackrabbits can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while the Ricebirds are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, Forrest City suffered their closest defeat since November 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Wynne by a score of 63-60.

Lonoke's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Forrest City, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-2.

Lonoke suffered a grim 68-45 defeat to Forrest City in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can Lonoke avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
