Baseball Recap: Monroe Central Comes Up Short

Monroe Central lost to Waterford on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Seminoles fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2.

Monroe Central now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Waterford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Monroe Central will face off against Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lumberjacks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.16 runs per game on average), something the Seminoles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Waterford, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Warren at 5:00 p.m.
