Basketball Preview: Lake View Wildcats vs. Ida Crown Jewish Academy Aces
The Lake View Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Ida Crown Jewish Academy Aces at 5:00 p.m. Lake View will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Last Tuesday, Lake View was the victim of a rough 78-53 defeat at the hands of the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Lake View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Warriors are ranked 108th).
Ayden Reed put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dyami Rolon, who scored four points.
Meanwhile, Ida Crown Jewish Academy pushed their score all the way to 59 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Latin. Ida Crown Jewish Academy has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Lake View's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Ida Crown Jewish Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
