Baseball Game Preview: Coahoma County Red Panthers vs. Independence Wildcats

Coahoma County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell 10-7 to Rosa Fort on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Independence waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Black Knights 10-1. Considering the Wildcats have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Eli Stepp was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Pierce, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Independence now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Coahoma County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
