Edgewood is 9-1 against Grand Saline since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Edgewood Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Grand Saline Indians at 7:30 p.m. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Grand Saline is hoping to do what Mineola couldn't on Friday: put an end to Edgewood's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Edgewood put the hurt on Mineola with a sharp 62-42 win.

Meanwhile, Grand Saline blew past Quitman, posting a 72-33 victory. That looming 72-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Indians yet this season.

Grand Saline's win came from a few key players Edgewood will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Preston Hass, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 20 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolton Prox, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Grand Saline smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Grand Saline pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game. As for Edgewood, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Edgewood came up short against Grand Saline in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 62-51. Can Edgewood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
