Basketball Recap: Holy Cross Skates Past the Christian School at Castle Hills with Ease

There's no place like home for Holy Cross, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat The Christian School at Castle Hills Eagles 84-23. That 61 point margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

It was another big night for Aaron Garcia, who almost dropped a double-double on 31 points and nine boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 13 times he's played. Nick Herrera was another key player, going 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.

Holy Cross is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for The Christian School at Castle Hills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-6.

Holy Cross will take on Hill Country Christian School of Austin in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Christian School at Castle Hills and Lutheran will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
