Softball Recap: Southwest Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Southwest's offense. They came up short against the Miller Cardinals on Monday, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Miller, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Southwest will venture away from home to take on Galena at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Miller, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Miller Cardinals face off against Lockwood Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (they 2, Lockwood 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
