Soccer Game Preview: Papillion-LaVista vs. Omaha Westside

Papillion-LaVista is 0-9 against Omaha Westside since April of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Monarchs will square off against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Papillion-LaVista fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Omaha Central on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2.

Meanwhile, Omaha Westside faced Omaha South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. While the 4-4 score might suggest a draw, it was the Packers who were credited with the win. Omaha South got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Omaha Westside's one. Omaha Westside have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Omaha Westside's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Papillion-LaVista, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
