Kenwood had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.1 points) and they went ahead and made it 16 on Sunday. They strolled past the Western Reserve Academy Pioneers with points to spare, taking the game 63-49. Given the Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked sixth in Illinois, while the Pioneers are ranked 45th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kenwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Danielle Brooks, who posted 17 points and six steals. Brooks has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Ariella Henigan was another key player, putting up 16 points and five steals.

Western Reserve Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooklyn Hall, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Lilah Turnbull, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points.

Kenwood's victory bumped their record up to 20-1. As for Western Reserve Academy, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-5.

Kenwood has already played their next contest, a 58-53 loss against Crestwood Prep (North York, Ontario) on the 20th. As for Western Reserve Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 83-70 defeat against Tournament Team on the 20th.
