Arickaree has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Kiowa Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arickaree will be strutting in after a win while Kiowa will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Arickaree beat Hanover 38-32.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arickaree to victory, but perhaps none more so than JANICE KALCEVIC, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points KALCEVIC has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of JANIYA SMITH, who scored nine points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Kiowa's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 54-29 defeat at the hands of Briggsdale. While losing is never fun, Kiowa can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Briggsdale is ranked 43rd).
Arickaree is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Kiowa, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6.
