Softball Recap: Adrian/Ellsworth Comes Up Short

Adrian/Ellsworth suffered their biggest loss since May 3, 2025 on Saturday. They came up short against the Martin County West Mavericks, falling 14-4. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Mavericks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Adrian/Ellsworth's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Martin County West, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Coming up, Adrian/Ellsworth will be playing in front of their home fans against Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Martin County West, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-2 victory against Minnesota Valley Lutheran on the 4th.
