Baseball Recap: Aliquippa Comes Up Short

Aliquippa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-5 to the Northgate Flames. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flames this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-5 on Wednesday.

Aliquippa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Northgate, their win ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Aliquippa will face off against rival Laurel at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Northgate is set to take on their familiar foe New Brighton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
