Basketball Recap: Ironwood Ridge Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ironwood Ridge can now relate to. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 71-54 to the Arcadia Titans.

Lucas Anderson and Carter Brown certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Anderson posted 14 points and six rebounds, while Brown had 18 points. Brown's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Kyler Holthaus, who earned six points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Ironwood Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. The win was the fourth in a row for Arcadia, bringing their record for this year to 14-12.

Ironwood Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arcadia, they will take on St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Arcadia's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
