Baseball Recap: Waskom Takes a Loss

Waskom lost against Beckville last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Waskom fell just short of Beckville by a score of 7-6. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Nate Espy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Waskom is 4-1 when Espy posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise.

Waskom's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Beckville, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.
