Baseball Recap: Rich Township Takes a Loss

Rich Township suffered their closest defeat since May 10, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bloom Blazing Trojan by a score of 7-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blazing Trojan this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-6 last Tuesday.

Rich Township saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Bankhead, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4. Gio Rivera was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Rich Township and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Bloom, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

While Rich Township had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
