Recap: Pinnacle Pioneers vs. Houston Christian Mustangs
The Pinnacle Pioneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 79-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Houston Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Wednesday (62), Pinnacle still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Pinnacle lost, one person who can't be blamed is Braylon Johnson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Johnson scored a full 30.6% of Pinnacle's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Nelson, who scored 18 points.
Pinnacle's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Houston Christian, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Clovis West has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,308 points over their last 16 contests. Salpointe Catholic is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.7 points per game.
