Marian waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Gretna East Griffins by a score of 2-0. For the Crusaders, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Griffins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

Marian's offense was headlined by Erin Cramer and Kayla Brown, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Addy Janke and her 14 assists. Finally, Annabella Suljuzovic kept Marian's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Marian's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Gretna East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Marian has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Pius X on the 4th. As for Gretna East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Lincoln Northeast on the 4th.
