Baseball Game Preview: Sharyland Rattlers vs. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines

Sharyland has gone a perfect 10-0 against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rattlers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Sharyland's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.

On Friday, Sharyland got the win against Vela by a conclusive 10-2. Considering the Rattlers have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Sharyland got a great performance from Roy Rodriguez as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nic Valdez, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Darian Lopez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial came up short against McAllen on Friday and fell 8-3.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Salinas, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Sharyland has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.
