The Braves got two touchdown passes from Josh Rosen, both to Jaleel Wadood two field goals from Sean McGrew and its defense largely did the rest to record a 34-7 Pac-5 Division championship win over perennial national power Mater Dei Saturday at Angel Stadium before 12, 525 fans.

Bosco (14-0), ranked third in the country by MaxPreps, didn't give up an offensive touchdown as Mater Dei scored on a blocked punt to take a 7-0 lead.

From there it was all Bosco, which, according to the Long Beach Press Telegram outgained Mater Dei 379 to 217 while taking its first title after two other finals' appearances.

Bosco will likely be invited to the Southern California regional Open Division final which will be announced on Sunday.

Linebackers Chandler Leniu, Malik Dorton and Jacob Tuioti-Mariner keyed Bosco's defensive effort.
