Volleyball Recap: Central Catholic Raiders vs. East Union Lancers

Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the East Union Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-10.

Among those leading the charge was Keenan Yang, who had eight digs and three aces. Those three aces gave him a new career-high.

Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for East Union, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-8 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Catholic will head out to challenge Manteca at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Buffaloes will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Union, they will challenge Oakdale at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
