Wakulla proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the St. John Paul II Panthers 1-0. Wakulla's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Madison Hay, who's now up to two this season.

Wakulla's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for St. John Paul II, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3-1.

Wakulla has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Leon on the 5th. As for St. John Paul II, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Florida State University High School at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Florida State University High School will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something St. John Paul II surely won't give up without a fight.
