Basketball Recap: Hancock Comes Up Short

If Hancock was riding high fresh off their 78-32 takedown of Rothsay last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hancock Owls came up short against the Underwood Rockets on Tuesday, falling 70-46. The Owls were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rockets earlier this season, when they won 73-61.

Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 19-3. As for Underwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.

Hancock has already played their next game (against Wheaton/Herman-Norcross), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Underwood, they will challenge Breckenridge at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th. Underwood is on a 18-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Breckenridge a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
