Baseball Recap: Louisa-Muscatine Victorious

Louisa-Muscatine was handed a eight-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Hillcrest Academy Ravens. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 5-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Chase Loving, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Nathan Braun was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Louisa-Muscatine's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Hillcrest Academy, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Louisa-Muscatine will challenge West Burlington at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hillcrest Academy, they will face off against New London at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
