Volleyball Recap: Classical Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Classical waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the North Smithfield Northmen. For the Purple, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Northmen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Classical took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 25-14.

Ian Nascimento paced Classical's offense, picking up eight kills. Nascimento got some help from Jacob Agramonte and his 23 assists. Nascimento was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Classical pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for North Smithfield, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Classical wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Cranston West on the 15th. As for North Smithfield, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Central Falls on the 14th.
