Baseball Recap: St. Thomas Aquinas Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for St. Thomas Aquinas, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Independence Tigers a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Falcons needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

St. Thomas Aquinas' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-15. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Independence, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Thomas Aquinas will venture away from home to challenge Fontainebleau at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Independence, they will square off against Bonnabel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
