North Miami waltzed into their contest on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Oregon-Davis Bobcats as they made off with a 16-1 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Ray Pickett and Evan Chumbley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Pickett tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Chumbley struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Pickett has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, Pickett went 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Chumbley went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Those hits marked the first that Chumbley has got this season.

In other batting news, Avery Piel was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those hits were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Quinn Hostetler, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.

North Miami always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

North Miami's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Oregon-Davis, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

North Miami will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bobcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
