Softball Recap: Pine Forest Takes a Loss

Pine Forest had lost six straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 6-12 to make it seven. They lost 16-0 to the Aletheia Christian Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-5 last Monday.

As for Aletheia Christian Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 15.4 runs this season.

For Aletheia Christian Academy's part, Leah McMorris was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. McMorris has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Abigail Baldwin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Pine Forest didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-4 win against Booker T. Washington on the 16th. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 15-0 victory against Atmore Christian on the 13th.
