Softball Recap: Louis E. Dieruff Comes Up Short

Louis E. Dieruff extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 27 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-18. They lost 15-0 to the Emmaus Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, with their most recent loss being a 16-0 defeat on April 6th.

As for Emmaus, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. Considering they have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Emmaus' part, they got a massive performance out of Taylor Hauver, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, two triples, and two RBI. Those two triples gave Hauver a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julia DeFanti, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI and one triple.
