Basketball Recap: Deposit-Hancock Takes a Loss

Deposit-Hancock lost against Morris Central back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Deposit-Hancock fell 57-44 to Morris Central. While Deposit-Hancock didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Morris Central 15-11 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Deposit-Hancock still got an impressive performance from Micah Simmons, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 13 boards. Simmons is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 12 or more in each of the last 21 games he's played dating back to last season.

Deposit-Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Deposit-Hancock will face off against Schenevus Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Morris Central, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Walton at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
