Softball Recap: South Greene Rebels vs. Johnson County Longhorns
South Greene won against Happy Valley two weeks ago with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. South Greene blew past the Johnson County Longhorns 16-2. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Rebels this season.
Kortnei Bailey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
