Orono came tearing into Thursday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 52-41 victory over the John Bapst Memorial Crusaders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-38 back in December of 2024.

Orono's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. As for John Bapst Memorial, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orono will host Hermon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for John Bapst Memorial, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Bucksport at 7:00 p.m. John Bapst Memorial is facing Bucksport at the right time seeing as Bucksport is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
