Baseball Recap: Charlestown Takes a Loss

Charlestown fell victim to Silver Creek and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dragons from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Charlestown got a good showing from Connor Buck, who struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

This is the second loss in a row for Charlestown and nudges their season record down to 11-6. As for Silver Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charlestown will head out to face off against Borden at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Silver Creek, they will venture away from home to challenge Columbus North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
