Preview: Bethel-Tate Tigers vs. Georgetown G-Men
Bethel-Tate has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Georgetown G-Men at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bethel-Tate will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Georgetown is ranked 183rd).
Last Thursday, Bethel-Tate suffered a rough 50-30 loss at the hands of Williamsburg.
Meanwhile, Georgetown strolled past Blanchester with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 57-41. With that win, Georgetown brought their scoring average up to 52 points per game.
Morgan Preston had a dynamite game for Georgetown, scoring 26 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. The match was Preston's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzy Cahall, who scored 8 points along with 7 steals and 5 rebounds.
Wyoming's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Bethel-Tate's defeat dropped theirs to 0-2.
Bethel-Tate came up short against Georgetown in their previous matchup back in January, falling 42-37. Can Bethel-Tate avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
